A Bench for My Favorite Book

A Bench for My Favorite Book

A light blue bench with text across it that says “A bench for my favorite book” in my handwriting. Brown corduroy seat cushion.
Close up of the end of this bench with a red canvas pocket for holding the audiobook transcript. A wire hangs on the floor connecting to headphones out of view.
  • About:
An installation I made that considers ways a bench can become a frame for/an arrow pointing to something else. I often extend my experience of certain places or things because there is a resting spot, and this piece experiments with channeling that extended time towards something I love deeply: my favorite book: A Selection of Snapshots Taken by Felix Gonzalez-Torres.
